How Did Skratch Labs Begin?

Skratch Labs is the brainchild of Dr. Allen Lim. He was best known for his time with various professional sports cycling teams, at least until now. During his time as a sport scientist and coach, he heard a variety of concerns from professional cyclists regarding their sports drinks. They were too sweet. They did not contain enough sodium, so cyclists were not staying properly hydrated. The various unnatural ingredients were causing rotgut, making the athletes sick to their stomachs during rides.

These problems were nothing new in the world of professional cycling. This was the norm to this point. Riders needed easily digestible food and sports drinks that were loaded with carbs and sugar to give them a quick burst. If an upset stomach was a side effect, so be it.

This all changed when Dr. Lim began working in his lab to create products specifically for endurance athletes. His main concerns were hydration and the stomach issues cyclists were experiencing. Born out of his lab were the "Secret Drink Mix" and his now infamous rice cakes. Both of these products use all natural ingredients meant to hydrate and energize the rider without creating the stomach issues experienced when consuming other products on the market. This is how Skratch Labs was born.
