Douglas County tornado drill scaled back

GARRETT -- A massive tornado drill scheduled for Douglas County has been scaled back.

The drill was supposed to include the village of Garrett and part of Atwood, but now it will only take place in Garrett.

The county's Emergency Management Agency Director says budget concerns and the sheer size of the drill forced them to make it smaller.

The exercise will happen Saturday, July 28th. The scenario involves making Garrett look as though an F2 tornado passed through town.
